This may seem a very odd question(s) but I got thinking about smashing out a Pre PRMC tests this friday.

    Friday morning:

3 mile run at max effort with hills in under 22 minutes (currently sitting at 19:59)
followed by a bleep test or hill sprints which ever would be harder?
Cycle to the gym (its about 4 miles) do gym tests, deadlifts, squats, a whole body workout!
Swimming at the local leisure centre for around 20, 30 minutes.
    Ride home, have lunch.

    2pm onwards:

Smash the legs prior to a 4 mile run, hills, crawls, sprints, push ups, sit ups, the lot just to really get the legs burning.
    4 mile run with hills.

Any information, hints/tips etc would be greatly appreciated!

In all honesty I reckon it's a good idea, gives you the real feeling of what you'll be feeling like come PRMC. Just don't over do it, last thing you want is an injury. You got a PRMC coming up soon?

Sounds good mate. What time are you aiming to do the 4 miler in?

Wish I had someone to train with to be honest, I'd love to do mock PRMC type training. My gym partner doesn't last 10 minutes on a treadmill let alone spend the early hours of the morning running and crawling up hills through cold, wet mud :(

The plan is to just get everything done in one day, but yeah its overkill but I'm a determined young little chappy! I certainly do have PRMC, coming up soon, I really need to smash everything! :)

The thing is I will be absolutely ruined prior to the 4 mile run and this route will be far from easy. I'l get back to you on the times etc once I have finished.

Typical body builder I take it?

Nah he's just unfit, he's only going to the gym for 'aesthetic' reasons haha.

What would you wear to do crawls etc?

I'm torn up between boots and trail running shoes - definitely ain't wasting my running shoes!

I'l do everything in a training t-shirt and shorts, I don't own boots so i'l just have to run in my running shoes. :)

Can only imagine the look on a random passers-by's face watching you do crawls in the mud

I'm thinking of doing some crawls the next time I go to the woods and hills where I live. There's a trail pretty deep in the woods which not a lot of people go to that is muddy in the summer, let alone now with all the rain and floods we've been having.

I must remember to pack a spare set of clothes so I don't have to walk home looking like a right muppet! ;)

I'm more likely to do GVT then after do 2 minutes of push ups, sit ups and max out on pull ups.
