    I also found adjusting the speed at which I did situps helped too. Next time you do some sets, try doing them taking 5 seconds to go up with a 1 second pause and 5 seconds to go back down.

    If they are new boots and you've only done 7 miles in them they are far from worn in. Soak in warm water before wearing on walks, use Dubbin / plenty of polish and keep wearing them. They will soften up.

    Well I'm no expert at all but a guy here can FS 120 yet only clean ~90. I guess it's a case of just getting stronger at Front squats.

    I was just warming up to a nice big set at the end. I'm also wary of smashing my legs with having to do 13.2 on Thursday. I'm leaving juice in the tank.

    Use the workouts however you want. The requirements for the Marines are totally specific: Great cardiovascular endurance and a sensible degree of upper body strength. I just play with Crossfit because it makes me better at what I do in conjunction with job specific training - speed marches...

    It's taken some time to get used to (including a few weeks of swollen black thumbs) but Hook grip really helps.
