Wondering if anyone can tell me what the regularity of intake dates there is for ROP.

I`m currently in the application process having sent away my medical info (I live in Canada at the moment so sending stuff from here for the time being) so I`m waiting on them getting in contact with my UK + Canadian doctors to get my medical records.

Problem is I`m going to be 32 in January 2021 so time is tight.

I`m wondering if its realistic that I`d get all my application looked at before then. I spoke to a naval careers advisor back in June-ish who seemed enthusiastic that I could make the timescale work but the closer it gets to the end of the year the more I`m doubting it.

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to be brutally honest.

You must commence Recruit Training before the day of your thirty-third birthday. Therefore your age appears to be eligible until January 2022.

On one page of the Royal Navy website it says you have to be
  • Aged 16 to 32 when you start Basic Training
On another it says
  • Under 33 years old when you begin basic training
I`m confused which is correct.

Both are correct.

"Aged 16 to 32" means from the day of one's 16th birthday until the day before one's 33rd birthday.
