We had this software at CTC. We'd all be playing it during our lectures on JSP etc

Its not Arma 3. Arma 3 actually has realistic physics, ballistics and runs a lot, lot better *text deleted*

I agree that at first glance it looks ridiculous. But this is really just a spruced up DCCT range (For those that remember that) Nothing more than a training aid to develop/explain new concepts to recruits.

Obviously doesn't replicate doing it for real and it’s not supposed to. It is a training aid that allows skills & drills to be practiced before you get out on the ground. Think of it as learning the basics before heading out on exercise. Obviously real life training will reinforce the habits & skills needed.

When you put it that way, I guess it doesn’t seem to bad at all. Although I would hope it’s not going to be a go to all the time just a one week thing or less.

Correct think of the gaming machines at the local arcade, like house of the living dead with the plastic toy guns. But only this time the weapon actually works !

Ah. Thanks but the reference doesn't help me. The only machines at my local arcade in the 1960s were of the 'What the Butler Saw' variety.
    Threepenny bit per view.

You’ll see it is quite similar.

Sadly the video won’t play here but the link will give reference for a giggle.
