    As a nine-year-old boy I was glued to the TV. Colour television had just arrived for BBC2 only I recall but our family TV set was a black and white rental. Which was fine as much of the lunar video was monochrome anyway.
    Do people still rent TVs? Many people did in the 1960s because aside from the expense of buying a TV the valves often popped. The TV repair man was a frequent visitor to many homes.
