This is the company apparently given credit for it:

    https://www.karmarama.com/

Seems I was bang on the money with it being some arseh0le, pretentious, hipster, wet lettuce advertising company.

Karmarama makes some interesting but vague statements on its website about the apparent success of the previous diversity-focused Army ads. I'm uncertain how quantifiable the statements are.

To win the bid for the contract the company would have pitched to the MoD. Ultimately the award decision was made by someone wearing either a blue, a green or a grey uniform.

Just come across these 2 adverts which I havent seen before. The difference between the new army adverts and Royal Marine adverts are night and day.

Yeah they changed the post, taking the snowflake part out. And because it’s on the LGBT twitter page it’s got all these people following them thinking he was gay and how it was good on him being gay back then etc.

He was married with two sons...

Here’s the official Audit report if anyone is interested:
    https://www.nao.org.uk/report/investigation-into-the-british-armys-recruiting-partnering-project/

    But back to hammering capita..

    http://www.capitaarmyresourcing.co.uk/

Makes me laugh we have civvies with no experience, recruiting for jobs they have no knowledge of....

Capita are laughing all the way to the bank though:

    https://www.karmarama.com/2018/10/10/karmarama-win-gold-ipa-effectiveness-award-for-army-campaign/

    https://ipaeffectivenessawards.awardsengine.com/winners/view_awards_entry.cfm?id_entry=100051

Ultimately it’s the tax payer that this is costing an absolute fortune for. It’s disgusting waste of tax payers cash. And they are gloating about it.

    https://amp.theguardian.com/uk-news...-to-army-recruitment-shortfalls-auditors-find

“A total of 47% of applicants dropped out voluntarily in 2017/18, and both the army and Capita believe the length of the process is a significant factor in this, the report says.“

“The British army authorised a £495m contract with the outsourcing giant Capita to bring in new recruits without understanding the complexity of the project, a report by Whitehall’s spending watchdog has concluded.”

“Capita’s online recruitment system was planned for launch in July 2013 but only went live in November 2017 at a cost of £113m – triple the original budget, according to the report“

    £495 million. That’s horrendous.

“Figures uncovered by Labour show that from February 2012 to March 2017, the recruitment contract cost £751.9million compared with estimates of £698.4million.“

    https://www.theyworkforyou.com/debates/?id=2018-10-22b.9.4

The Government know it’s crap, we know it’s crap, the Forces know it’s crap, the public know it’s crap, what officers/politicians have shares in it, are holding back getting rid of it. It’s no secret.

    https://www.theregister.co.uk/AMP/2018/10/18/capita_army_recruiting_it_contract_could_terminated/

    £50m to cancel the contract..

    https://www.forces.net/news/capita-failing-bring-army-recruits

“The Deputy Chief of the Defence Staff, Sir Mark Poffley, said that in the three months to August, the Army had recruited just 10% of the officer recruits and 7% of the other ranks it needed for 2018-19.

That compared with recruitment 22% of the officers and 20% of other ranks for the Royal Navy, 100% of officers and 10% of other ranks for the Royal Marines, and 56% of officers and 48% of other ranks for the RAF.“

The Military need to get off Twitter. It’s been nothing but hassle.
I can’t be the only one annoyed to see officers wasting their time on it, thinking they are some B list celebrity and throwing their toys out when a civvie gobs off at them (no rank ashore....) Instead of doing their job.

    It’s an absolute embarrassment.

Oh dear. This actually creates an interesting turn of events.

The Army recruiting senior management team claim they wanted to cause controversy. No they didn't. They are making excuses to save their hides.

Now they have generated even more controversy by calling one of their own a Snowflake and insulting those they actually seek to recruit as well as those they already have.

To cap it all - the real-life Squaddie being called a snowflake on their posters is quitting in disgust! No one asked him!

The question is: "Will the Army Recruiting senior management team be stupid enough to claim it proves their point?" :D

It’s a bit daft to use the word Millennial on a recruiting poster as Millennials are currently aged 23-38 (or 25-39 depending on whose definition you use). Those aged 16-22/24 are Generation Z. It won’t be long until Millennials are too old to be Officer recruits (depending on the definition).

Their job isn’t to cause controversy. It’s to recruit. Which they are failing at. And to the tune of 700 million odd.

They arent there to be twitter celebrities, they aren’t there to constantly post social media crap, they aren’t there to be dragged into social media arguements or insulting people that are criticising their obvious crap adverts. The cheek of civvies gobbing off at service people ripping the crap adverts.

Someone must be making money on this. Or it’s deliberate sabotage for a masaive re-org or some political EU army crap.

They are massively back peddling. This says it all really:
    https://twitter.com/CathPossamai/status/1081673706320154624?s=20

    What an absolute doorknob. Infuriating.

It’s gone beyond a joke. It’s just completely heart breaking and infuriating. How much can they keep screwing this up without realising.

It’s too much of a joke. Officers and politicians Definately have shares in this crap or making money somehow.

    What an absolute sh1tshow.

Imagine how much they saved if they actually used people in recruitment throughout the Army give a small payment to a media company sure the website will always cost but I dont see a 115m investment in the website at all. The money used imagine what kit or what that could be used for

    Amazing!! Good work.

Amazing to see the hierarchy dropping their fill and sending out emails and having briefs with the lads to “support it” and share it on social media.

Instead of listening to lads, the very lads they are losing, they are mugging them off.
