What kind of foot support you need? How do you land when you run.

Don't use peoples recomendations as the trainer type could be completely wrong. See a podiatrist or specialist running shop staff member to find out what you require. Don't want to cause injury to yourself with *text deleted**text deleted* footwear do ya?

skippy speaks the truth, some running shops have in house facilitys to check all that, if not go to a podiatrist, i wish i had done it, you dont want shin splints mate. i have to wear insoles now. *text deleted* im disabled innit:weird:

Cost me 80 quid for appointment, 70 for new trainers, and then 25 for the insoles.. but got a second pair free. Now within a week of initial physio appointment, I have no pain, and I'm allowed on light jogs again.... Well worth the money.

But trust me here - you don't want to make the wrong choice.
I've had a total of 6 weeks off in the last 3 months from the poor choice of trainers mixed with my step pattern. Im dreading my 1.5 and 3 mile times (lolz no most <6 minute miles for me..).

Save yourself the hassle and get the correct footwear!

converse all stars, 25 quid, cheap, reliable (reliably *text deleted**text deleted*), can take hours of punishing weather conditions (mud, rain, wind, sand, converse will tear at the first skip on all elements) BUT where they lack in durability they make up for in style... and you can put them in the washing machine if you dont mind picking rubber of all your clothes afterwards!

if you arent keen on that then i've heard running with your pants round your ankles is just as good, which will also attract the opposite sex, same sex and seagulls.

When I was doing my PARA reg. Potential Officer Course, there was a chap in Converse all Stars who won the 1.5miler by about 30seconds. Unfortunately he was a moron and failed. Lesson is, if you train in Converse All Stars, you are probably also a moron.

Upon reading it again he may of been joking, but he went on for so long he had me convinced.

But there are Trainers and Running Trainers for a reason.

Well don't bother asking online. People on the internet can't measure your feet, go to a shop and get em measured! Gait analysis at my shop was free if you buy a pair of shoes so not too bad.

But if you don't get a recommendation you could buy the wrong pair and exagerate a foot problem even more.
