i think they they start scoring you after level 9.5 or something...i cant remember exactly...so you get no points for under that level, then 1 point for the next bracket...then 2 for the next bracket and so on....

the PTI will run with you up till level 5 to set a pace, then he will drop out and its up to you...keep going till *text deleted* told to stop....

:cheesy:

Their used to be a correclation between a low VO2 Max (Bleep Test) score and a low recruiting test mechanical comprehension section score (RT4). Someone, somewhere, number crunched & discovered that anyone scoring low on RT4 & below 10.5 on the bleep test was in a high risk zone and had a less than 12% chance of completing Recruit Training.

This is no longer used as a pass/fail PRMC criteria, however the clue is to score better than 10.5 in the bleep test as a rule of thumb.

just out of interest does anyone know the kind of distance you would have covered if you reached level 13 for example. just curious as me and a mate were chatting about it and this came up.

Well I believe each shuttle across is 20 meters. So, do the math. Thats a 130 x 20 = 2600 meters, which equals 2.6 KM's. This also equals a bit over a mile and a half, as a mile and a half is 2.4 km's.

I don't think that's right Ty.

I think each level last for 1 minute (or there abouts), I could be wrong on that, but either way there are less shuttles per level on the lower levels. The number of shuttles increases each level upto around level 15 (approx). From then on the number of shuttles per level remains the same till the end.

Don't quote me on the above, as it may not be strictly accurate, however, I'm pretty sure the above is quite close to how the test works.

Rich.

I was under the impression that every shuttle was 1 point. Every 10 points, is a new level. I could be wrong of course.
