anyone got some tips/tricks to prevent blisters, or what to do when you get them. Is it better to pop them or leave them?

Leave them if possible as the skin is a barrier against infection.

Granuflex is your best friend for blisters, but prevention is always better than cure. Learn your hot spots and address them before they develop.

I recall in my own training a RCMT from 1 PARA used to call foot inspections in the med centre. He threw show parades and various other punishments about left right and centre for poor footcare/hygiene.

But yes- as stated above use tape on blister-prone parts of your trotters(ie heels, inside arch) before tabbing... sorry yomping.

Other top tips include applying a smear of vaseline on to the heels to minimise friction. Wearing thin liner socks under your thick issue socks. Enjoy.
