Heard about it on the news while at work. Very lucky to still be alive after being engaged by an Apache. Hopefully they aren't maimed and make a full recovery. Para's have been taking a beating recently :(

A terrible incident, but sadly when close air support is called in during an ongoing firefight which is fast-moving, this obviously happens from time to time.

One of the most tragic occurrences I heard of was when a forward air controller gave his position and that of the target in the wrong order. Not entirely sure if that's true, but it's very believable in the heat of battle.

A speedy recovery and best wishes to the wounded, be thankful the pilot wasn't shooting as good as he should have been.
