Hi All, I need some help with my fitness

    Age:18
    Height: 6ft
    Weight: 93kg

    Test Results
    Return Mile: 10:15
    Press ups: 20
    Sit ups: 20
    Pull ups: 4-5

I know these results are terrible and they need to be improved a lot ! I was going to get a PT but decided I would ask on here first and see if anyone's got any suggestions on how to improve them. Anything is much appreciated, cheers.

I did that for about 3-4 weeks but didn't see any improvements. So I stopped it and started searching for alternative training plans I slightly regret it now *text deleted*.

See it out the full 12 weeks mate, it may feel underwhelming but I find because you're not training twice a day you do smash everything with energy and look forward to sessions. Also the run times are minimal

See how you feel in regards to fitness and what you'd find enjoyable. No point boring yourself or smashing a too hard of a workout

Before i joined what i did was 4 runs a week, so one of the runs was just a 5 mile, one run was a practice bleep test and the other 2 were practice 3 miles with the returns included. After each run i would do the pressups, situps and pullups all to the beep... basically just kept practicing the tests over and over and my scores gradually increased!

On the night i then just did some gym stuff so i trained twice a day but it’s important to also rest and eat plenty if you’re going to train like i was!

I started phase two this week and our troop pti did the same thing kinda, for gym passout and now bottom field passout he makes us run through the entire test criteria over and over each week and so far so good :)

Do what you will with this, but this is how i managed! Good luck with your training!

Ya keep up the training. I'm just starting the pre PRMC training programme and doing the tests like Geespt will definitely help too, good practice.

to be honest I don't really know but I had a look at it and definitely need to up my fitness before I attempt it. ^guess I could do half or quarter like Arny's just said
I found it on here, had never seen it before either

for your 1.5 return or PJFT look at JoniA's training for on a treadmill.

It’s surprised me how much difference my diet made. I’m quite a small guy but getting enough nutrition in and plenty of water makes a big difference. Also, a good warm up and stretch before exercise, always neglected but benefit massively.

Definitely agree mate ! I cut down the amount of meals I was eating because I was to heavy (I still am to be honest) But that alone helped with my running

Sounds good, just keep at it. 3 x sets of each exercise to fail, try mix it up too with different exercises (v sits, crunches, wide arm press ups, diamond press ups, weighted pull ups etc)

Doing the same thing over and over again (run, press ups, sits ups, pull ups) for weeks on end will mentally fatigue you. It will become mundane and a chore.

Mix it up with treadmill sprints, rower workouts, go to a circuits class once a week etc if you have a local gym nearby.

You will find you will improve week by week , little by little but as you get fitter, the weight will drop off you also.
