Just thought I would share what was posted on the RM Facebook page. I thought it was quite amusing.

Anyone else think of any ridiculous questions that have been asked on here or the Facebook page?

I rather suspect the 'question;' may well have been posed by a serving Royal Marine.

I seem to remember when a couple of YOs participated in a live chat a few years ago, it was obvious other YOs were asking some of the questions! If I remember rightly, the YOs were also advised against eating yellow snow whilst on exercise.

One of the things I've noticed about Facebook is the genuine queries tend to be largely an initial 'one-off' from a slightly younger age group. On here the questions tend to be more involved from those who have alread made preliminary enquiries & maybe slightly older, on average.

Inevitably, during leave periods, there will be an increase of contributions from trained ranks & recruits.

Think my favourite post on the page was someone saying something along the lines of that they were going to join the Marines and take the sniper specialisation and get promoted to a Navy SEAL  think he was 10 or something though..

I saw a lad from Mexico post a question about how he would go about joining in order to "kill many" and get British citizenship. I clicked on his profile and his occupation was listed as "colnel - royal Marines".

Someone the other day said along the lines of "How do I become a sniper without doing all the training? I already do cadets so don't need to do foundation I just want to be a sniper."

And keep the banter down on my forwards rolls question, anyone that even thinks it!

A classic one last night: "Can I join the marines if I'm allergic to cats? I've not had an inhaler for it for 4 years."

I wasn't going to say anything,

That not how I roll.
Excellently done, how long it take you to think of that one?

New PJFT restrictions, must be completed topless and a minimum of 3 forward rolls to be completed immediately after completion of the return.

Challenging stuff.

Not good,

I have been doing my warrior forward roll programme for 2 weeks yet I can still only manage 2 :(

And my previous comment was spontaneous, what can I say hah!
