ite lads, just wondering what other people are doing to improve on their chin ups, i can do 6-8 bt there very inconsistant so i was thinkin i need to work on that!

so any help would be awsome!

Try doing 3 sets of 5 close arm (have it so when you grab the bar your hands are 2 thumb distance apart)

and 3 sets of 5 wide arm (a little wider than shoulder width).

Do them SLOWLY and controlled. Don't bring your legs up and try to keep them straight.

This has helped me a lot.

I usually do this 3 to 4 times a week. On a sunday or last day of the week, I do max on my 3rd set.

i can do around ten, i read somewhere the other day that on the prmc u pull up and hold for 5 secs, i tried this and performed a hell lot worse so deff slow em down, quality not quantity

Exactly right mate. Just hold and squeeze your lat muscles (back muscles) when you get to the top. Hold for around 3 - 5 seconds.

do this with a 30sec rest between each

max out = say 6 for example

No way mate. On my PRMC we held it for about a second two at most.
Dont worry i daubt they will expect you to hold it for 5 seconds.
