    Hi guys and gals,

Dead quick question! Currently in the application process for RMR. I have my face-to-face medical next Wednesday and my interview 2 weeks later.

I vaguely remember reading somewhere on the forum regarding holding troops and been able to attend and also attest once RT, medical and interview are out the way, is this the case or am I missing interpreting something?

    thanks

Providing you pass the medical, you can then attend your local det for phys in preparation for your PRMC.

Once you pass PRMC you will be in holding troop, until you can start in with a recruit troop.

While in holding troop you can attend and take part in the phys and drill nights.

Once you start with a recruit troop, you attend drill nights and weekends as per.

Only thing I'd add to that from the original question is that I believe you attest after completing your PRMC.

Just want to add my own experience here, as I think the process might vary between dets. I attested before PRMC and was put into holding troop immediately after passing my interview (I haven't done PRMC yet but have attended det nights for lectures and phys).

Yeah I’ve seen a few lads on here say that’s how it’s worked out for them so I guess it does depends on detachment, what det are you with?
