Maybe you don’t want to spoil all the fun for new recruits, but something often overlooked is attention to detail and inspection standards. How often are locker and kit inspections and do show parades still exsist?

Nah, not at all. Knowledge is power after all. Great question.

Throughout the ROP phase, they're are tons of inspections. However, unlike the (good) old days they are progressive. By the time a potential recruit graduates into training their admin should be fully swept up. I have personally seen the standard of admin of ROP recruits and was massively impressed. For those old and bold about to say "back in my day...." (as we all do haha!), this is to ensure that billy basics of Globe & Laurelling, washing, dhobi and all things admin are put to bed early on so day 1 week 1 can start and purely concentrate on training. Which makes utter sense.
