Do Reservist applicants have to the PJFT now?

I've just been sent an email saying I have to do the PJFT, i've passed it before (first time) but that was years ago and after training on a treadmill for months. I've been given two weeks to complete it and haven't been on a treadmill in years because I didn't think I needed to do the PJFT for this. Is this a mistake or is the PJFT now part of the RMR application process?

It might depend on the unit, but for RMR London and the associated detachments, you don't need to do a PJFT. Instead you have to pass an RMFA (gym tests, bleep test and 3 miler) at the London HQ in order to be loaded onto a PRMC.

Correct, RMR applicants don't need to undergo a pre-joining fitness test through their AFCOs bust must still pass a BFT at their unit. Sometimes it may suit the unit to request the AFCO send out a PJFT letter to speed things along but it is definitely worth asking your AFCO if that's the case because it can equally delay completion of your application.
