these are mint for yomping in.....much better than normal boots

Nah mate we use the Standard Issue boot all the way through RT. The ones that were given to us at end of PRMC. You will find that Royal Marines, once out of training, will wear boots such as Magnums, or the LOWA boots that your on about.

yeah i seen that to mate, it looks like he folded his socks down over his boots(so they look lower) WW2 style, alhtough i think they had small gators then?
