The way I see it is even if you do body weight with weight training. As soon as your into recruit training you will lose a lot of strength since you will not to any weight lifting of any kind. Stick to body weight like the post says!

The old SMART training principle comes into mind from PE Specific is number one and training bicep curls isn't specific

Did this Saturday morning, great session! Will be upping the reps this week like you say.

How much rest between sets? I did 1-2 mins.

The hill is in the woods and for the 3 mile section i just ran through the woods the long way home. Next time i will have my app and track it with a time. :)

Yeah my legs were battered, been working on my leg endurance for a while doing a lot of circuits so this is good to push it more. Can still feel my legs now a bit! Ha ha :D
Thats good to hear it helped him so i will be sticking with it!

Fair enough! Stay off the crack, don't even think the Paras medical will allow that!

Possibly a daft question, but I'd like to make sure I've read it correctly. Essentially 4 sets of sprints, 5 sprints per set with a 2 min rest between sets, implying no rest between reps? Damn... My current hill sprints consist of 4-6 sprints and I'm ballsed after that..and that's without lunges/squats and a 3miler after....damn..

Broke my wrist in October 2 days before my medical so get to reapply this October...for 3 months all I did was squats lunges and box jumps..! Just need to mix it up with the running. Thanks for the great advice!

For me I use the Royal Marines training tool. I been using the routine what they suggest in the website ,its great. I have improved a lot with using it. I don't really go the gym.only been the gym to do mock pjft.I do all my training at home.
