I know what the rquirments are to pass the eye test, but what if you get to RT and you realise you're still hindered by your eyesight, like if it only just passed the test.

For example, what if I get to RT, get on the range and then realise I can't shoot with iron sights, because my eyesight isn't great.

Are there rules for glasses/contacts? Just I don't need glasses in ym day to day life BUT sometimes I have to really strain to read something on a billboard or something, when I was in the cadets I needed to use glasses when I shot with an iron sight.

As long as your eyesight remains within acceptable standards there's nothing to worry about.

If you need to wear glasses or contacts to shoot, then so be it. If you can't see the target & start topping cows in adjacent fields when on the ranges, then there will be "issues".

That reminds me of an 'issue' I had a few years ago shooting an L96 and a fence broke and a cow wondered in front of the targets

Thanks for clearing that up Ninja.
