Hi all, I've been thinking about joining RMR for quite a while now but fitness wise I don't think I'm anywhere near pre entry level. For example I can do two miles in 21 minutes. Basically my question is if I make the initial commitment but am woefully unfit will I be given any guidance in how and where to improve or will it be better to hold off until I am fitter?

Im not sure how the whole application process works for the reserves, but if its like normal RM, there is no harm in going down your afco and picking up an application form.
But you need to be a lot fitter before you progress with the application process.
Ideally beed to be running 3 miles in 21 minutes, not 2.

i'm pretty sure they're they same as RMC the only difference between the two is the training is done over a longer period more spread out (and obviously different deployment requirements etc)

What are the actual pre-entry requirements for RMR?
Different units have slightly different selection weekends so it's hard say exactly.
Which unit are you hoping to join ?

Rich.
