For those who have left RM, would you say it has supported you in life on Civvie street?

Kind of related to another thread I mentioned on Clerk Specialisation.

To those who have left the RM, would you say that the qualifications/the Kudos of being a former RM supported you in attaining a career on civvie street?

After experiences with Uni and numerous "courses", I am fearful, that what I attain in the RM will hold no value on civvie street.

Would having RM on your CV at least act as a testament to your work ethic?

Have a look for the thread about the different specialisations which lists the qualifications available. If you make it onto any 1's courses at SNCO level there are some top qualifications there.

In my current line of work Ive met a few former serving bootnecks, who have influenced me into applying actually, but what struck me most was their ability to work bloody hard at any task.

Aside from any qualifications the commando values and ethos will stand you in good stead in any job after the marines.
