I've amended the dates above, but they have yet to be fully confirmed for Xmas leave. Definitive dates will be given by your training team.

In any event, you will most probably get your weekend off, return, complete all of week 4, then go on Christmas leave.

Assuming you are one of the lucky originals & have allowed for leave periods when calculating your passing out, it will occur as you state, a week before commencing Summer Leave.

So did I, but I've since heard 24th December also!

As soon as the specific date is clarified, I'll amend.

Do all of these leave dates apply for RT or just for serving marines?

Different units often have different leave dates for operational reasons.

Leave Dates on here refer to those in Recruit Training.

Do you get leave in RT no matter what? I mean if you are in Hunter, can leave get cancelled/shortened?

if easter break is March 23rd - April 8th does this mean that careers office's are going to be closed aswell?
If not are they still going to be running as usual, able to do Phsycometric testing, organize medical's and fitness tests?

I'm planning on coming over from Canada and the dates I had chosen happen to exactly coincide with easter break so if the afco's aren't going to be there I'll have to change my dates.
    thanks

Most AFCOs remain open except bank holidays and weekends, except over Christmas they may well close for a week or two dependent on local manning.

Best bet is to establish contact with your chosen AFCO via email well in advance of your arrival to determine availability: http://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/Careers/How-To-Join/Careers-Offices

perfect thanks for the help, one more quick question, would one still need to go through overseas AFCO for first contact? or could you just go straight to your desired AFCO?

You can do either, but the overseas desk at London AFCO are pretty 'clued-up' with regard initial eligibility criteria unique to your country of residence so you will know from the outset exactly where you stand & be made of any anomalies unique to your country of residence.

one more question then if you don't mind, does the overseas AFCO have an email address or would a phone call be the way to go?
