How often do these dates change for the holidays? Cause family want to book a holiday but I don't want to say yes and fork out money if the dates get re-arranged, if they have high possibility of changing will not book one. Cheers

Hey guys before joining RMR i was wondering if my holidays would be fine on august 23rd which would be leading up to a weekend that i may need to be in for, or are RMR leave dates different?. I would be prepared to sacrifice my hols for the marines but id like to know in advance so i can plan something for during summer.

It's best to talk with your local RMR unit as dates may differ.

I'm also starting RT on 11th February. Just wondering if these dates apply throughout recruit training, or could they change?

Post one refers regarding dates & holiday insurance.

If we invade Algeria, Mali, Syria etc., it may change, subject to the UK security state, but odds are it will stay the same for recruits.

Ninja just on that subject, if war is declared with some nation, does recruiting change? Or even the training at CTC etc?

Like Op. Telic for example, did the armed forces change or speed up at all through recruiting or training?

I'm starting RT on 11th March, do you think we will finish foundation before getting leave? It's 2 days short of the 2 weeks for foundation if the holiday starts on the 23rd.

It would need to be WW3 to be honest. ;)

No CTCRM continued as normal as did the Corps, we were dropping and picking up PAX (men Drafted in/out of 42 Cdo RM) from Kuwait Airhead up until a couple of days before the invasion, sorry Liberation. :D

I'll try to find out this week, assuming the UPO at CTC is not closed for leave.

If my calculations are correct then Troop 198 that starts on the 1st Dec would have to go on leave then return for week 32 and pass out.

Hi, I went back to post 1 to check the 2015 dates again but they seem to be showing this years, not next. Do you have the 2015 dates to hand?

3 weeks summer leave, is this correct? I'm not exactly complaining but I was always led to believe each leave period was 2 weeks, I'm probably wrong though.
