Guys,

Just a quick question...

At the moment I am using a Garmin GPS watch that tells me my speed, distance, heart rate etc when I go out running. It's a great bit of kit and allows me to accurately pace myself and track progress (or lack of, in my case!).
Just wondered if I would be allowed to use this while training at Lympstone?
It would be ideal to use for the timed endurance tests, however it could be argued that it would give an unfair advantage over others.
A definitive answer or any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Ta.

Don't think you can wear any watches or jewelery during phys. Yeah I've got one aswell a garmin forerunner 305, good training aid.

Think Ive got the 305, and it is sooo useful.
Honestly the amount of lads that have gone to me:
"I can run 2 miles in 10 minutes"
"ok, how do you know its 2 miles"
"Well my dad told me it was about 2 miles"
"Alright then, why dont you come for a run with me"

Usaully about a mile in they reckon they have already done the 2 miles, and swear that their dad is more accurate than a GPS watch.

Yeah *text deleted*. I've had mine for about a year. Before I had it I thought I was running 3 miles in 17:20 minutes when really it was only 2.68 miles.
