Going on holiday during RT?

Basically I start training in a couple of months and was just wondering if you are allowed to go on holiday during leave?

My lad went to Portugal for five days during the three weeks summer leave. It was just what he needed.....sun and relaxation (and a few cheeky bevvies). Did him the world of good.

As long as you're not checking out the sights of Syria, of course.

You can indeed book a holiday during one of the mandated leave periods (Xmas, Summer or Easter) but cannot take odd-date leave outside of the promulgated dates.

The other thing to bear in mind is you need to take out cancellation insurance because even phase two recruits can be mobilised (again) for op Temperer if the terrorist threat kicks-off: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-41290951

I did 4 days in Sunny spain during the first week of summer leave. Just drank myself stupid and forgot about Lympstone! Mentally did wonders.
