AMONGST THE MARINES (the untold story)
by steven preece. (waterstones)

it's a bloody good read!
not for info though.
it follows a young bloke from just before trainning right through to leaving.
a true story aswell.
the start is slow but it gets better! (trust)

any one who reads it will love it!

I've read it-think I read it in about a day and a half, good insight into life in the corps although some aspects will have changed since then

Aspects

Guys, some aspects will have changed as life always changes through different eras. However, what pleased me about my first book was that people saw the funny side of it, the laughter, the humour and also the comradeship amongst us.

If you read this, I hope you also read the sequel "Always A Marine" as it concludes my story. Someone told me that both books go well together and possibly they do.

Currently I'm working on a novel, which is about bootnecks, but then again, it was bound to be, wasn't it!

Cheers

Sequel

You were nearly right with the title its called "Always A Marine" and the subtitle is called The Return To Civvy street. The second book starts where the first book finishes, through to conclusion of my story.

All the best

Both books are great. You can get right into them I think I read both books in about 2 days. I couldn't put them down.
