Help up at medical

Hi,
2 or so weeks ago I had a call from a nurse at Capita who basically went through the medical questionnaire etc. Told me that he would speak to my GP for further information regarding a broken arm years ago. I chased up the GP like they said and I was told the GP were awaiting payment. I emailed the nurse who called me and a week later no response... So was wondering if this is normal?

If your GP demands payment upfront it'll probably add a month onto your wait for the face to face appointment unfortunately.

It's worth asking your surgery awfully nicely if they can send the information pending payment, the wait will be considerably reduced. Bear in mind a large percentage of surgeries want upfront payment for occupational health queries so they aren't being awkward, it's pretty much the norm.

Ah okay,
I'll have to chase it up on Monday. Makes a bit more sense now cheers
