Just a quick question - does anyone know if you get paid for attending the holding troop evenings ? Im obviously not attending for the cash - its all about the green beret - but it would be useful to know....

Cheers in advance,
Sam :)

Unless things have changed recently, you will be paid a quarter of a days pay for each holding troop session you attend. You will be paid it only if you pass selection and begin RT.

Yep, you will be paid once you are enrolled.

To be enrolled you MUST complete all elements of selection as listed below:

1) Take the following documents to AFCO to be copied: Valid Passport*, Birth Certificate*, NI Card, NHS Number*

2) Pass Recruiting Test,

3) Pass Interview

4) Pass Medical

5) Pass PJFT*

6) Submit correctly completed Security Questionnaire*

7) Ensure both referees have returned completed references to AFCO*

* Denotes: Administation items that are frequently not completed & therefore prevent payment.
