Holding troop

    At what stage will i be invited to holding troop and is it literally just turn up and do a couple hours of phys or what.

    Is the process like such:
    -recruit test (passed)
    -interview (booked 20th feb)
    -medical
    -pjft/bft
    -holding troop
    -prmc
    -commence training

    Theres so much info on the internet i dont know what to beleive.

    If you are joining as regular (full time) then no such thing as holding troop ???..the rest is right in the basic process of joining though.

    It may vary unit to unit, but Leeds allow you to attend HT once you are in the system, application wise. You just won’t get any pay until you attest.

    Sorry this may sound like a stupid question but what does attest mean in terms of this

    Most dets won't let you start holding troop until you have passed your medical. Safety reasons.

    I haven't heard of people being allowed to start prior to that.

    They shouldn't let you attend as if you injure yourself they won't be covered
