I got to week 7 and left.
and yes I had to fill out a security check form

ah right, my application got up to the 3 day course in glencourse. maybe they woulda had me do it after that then.

All RN & RM personnel are Security Cleared to secret because of the nature of the work in which they're employed.

Army & RAF personnel all complete at least a basic check & those working in restricted areas are Security Cleared as necessary, but not all are routinely cleared to secret before they join, unlike the RN/RM.

On a Tri-Service basis, certain jobs are security cleared to an even higher classification on an individual basis- this is called Developed Vetting.

Yeah I had to do a security check before i started training, then a DV (developed vetting form) in week 2, because i was an INT corps geek.
