Johnny Mercer MP has said that he will not support the Government on anything outside of Brexit due to the Government turning a blind eye to the witch hunts of Veterans.

Hopefully more will also follow. With a majority of sod all, the Government could sink over this - shame.

I trust he will also support the RBL......

The RBL have recently launched a campaign urging the UK government to scrap the unfair visa costs for Commonwealth veterans, and we hope you will join our call, and contact your MP about this issue.

After they leave the Armed Forces, many Commonwealth veterans are able to apply to stay in the UK. Since the government introduced visa fees in 2003, the cost of applying has soared by an astonishing 1,441%. If a veteran cannot pay these fees, they face deportation, even after years of dedication and service to this country.

This is unacceptable to us at the Legion, and to our supporters. We believe this is no way to thank these veterans for their service. Please support these brave men and women.

To do so, highlight the web address below, right click, and press Open Link. This will automatically take you to the site where, after entering your name, address and email, an automatic letter will be generated on your behalf to go directly to your M.P. at no cost to you. Please support our commonweath comrades and sign!

Our armed forces are being literally eroded and undermined by unnecessary civil prosecutions against veterans & our government’s shameful refusal to protect them.
In much the same manner as juries are taken to significant locations in a case, in order to better understand the facts, perhaps prosecutors should be forced to make their decisions while they are under the same stresses as the troops involved?!
