Just my luck! Lower Back.

I went for a jog just a min ago. I warmed up properly. Jogged for about a mile then decided to sprint and after about 5 steps I got this sharp pain up my lower back...I think I've trapped a nerve or pulled a muscle! :scared:

I hope I heal up quick. I jog regularly and I've never experienced anything like this before...it had to come as soon as I got into a proper routine aswell...

Hiya clipper,

I've done something similar recently. Firstly if its giving you trouble go and get it checked out a by a Doc or sports physio just to make sure its nothing more sinister. If they say its ok then carry on training but just take it easy for a week or so! Make sure you do some lower back stretches supermans etc

Though if its just muscle related, try this, its called Tiger Balm - You can get it from larger Boots stores & chemists (just watch it can stain you clothes, though it does wash out)

Cheers man...Well it's not horrific pain I'll see a doctor if it doesnt get better in a few days.
I know about Tiger Balm! Amazing stuff! Love the smell too Haha!

i did the same jogged for a wile, up the pace then my back cocked out!!

i went to the pysio and said its all good, just growing pains! he gave me some stretches and now im back on top of it! amazing
