Losing foreign citizenship on starting RT

Hi all,

I live in the UK and am a British citizen. However, I’m also a citizen of a country whose law states that I will lose that citizenship if I enroll in the armed forces of any other country. I was wondering at what stage my AFCO will notify the country’s embassy? I can accept losing the citizenship on passing out but I'd hate to lose it on starting RT and then not make it through.

As a side note, I have a third citizenship (very international family!) and don’t see any information about this – only about dual nationality. Will this impact my eligibility? My AFCO didn’t seem thrilled about it...

Many thanks!

Does the citizenship have an impact you other than just the title? Sure it can be cool and all but unless you need the citizenship to access certain stuff, it’s just a title.

Unfortunately sometimes in life you have to make hard choices.
