I'm all for conscription of women if it is necessary for men to be conscripted again. It's their war too.
Now there’s an argument!! What happens if war breaks out and conscription occurs again? Will they call up women to the front line also!! I wonder how the snowflake brigade would react in this situation? Interesting!!
Maybe they should only conscript females to make up for previous wars?
Previous social attitudes definitely shaped conscription policy. Women were regarded as weak, vulnerable home-makers who had to be protected from the marauding enemy.
I won't debate the roles women might be suitable for in such a future conflict because frankly I'm exhausted by that topic but if men of fighting age are to be compelled to be put in harm's way then so should women of fighting age.
Were regarded? We have science proving that men and women are different......
Ah, that old “equality” but on their terms:
Weak and vulnerable in the widest sense; physically and mentally.
Funnily enough for a man of his generation Rudyard Kipling famously stated "For the female of the species is more deadly than the male."
Although in fairness he was specifically referring to a cobra.
