im getting really annoyed with marine press-ups. i know the technique but when i push back up i feel the need to extend my elbows out - so my elbows aren't tucked into my body.
Is this purely technique or is it to do with the strength of my tri-ceps?

i can do 60 wide arm press-ups.

Probably just because they are much harder to start with, so you automatically change back to wide arm press-ups. (thats what happened with me)

Try getting someone to hold your arms in when you do press-ups or put something heavy either side of your arms to stop them moving outwards.

You've just got to practice them mate, when i forst tried i was getting 30 marine press-ups maximum. Now i can get 60 in 2 minutes!!

Weird but I actually find Marine push ups easier than standard ones. Eh?
