Good morning to everyone,

I am unaware of any similar threads, so I thought it might be a good idea to start one.
If there is already something similar, please accept my apologies.

I find it very interesting to read up on everything Military, whether it be small unit tactics, battlefield procedures, other military drills etc.

Would anyone be interested on sharing links and/or pdf’s with good reading material?
I found something interesting discussing Insurgent Tactics in Souther Afghanistan 2005-2008

Hope everyone has great day!

Cheers,
Johnwayne

I've recently stumbled upon the novels of Mike Lunnon-Wood which include a British Military Quartet:
Let Not The Deep
The Kings Shilling
Long Reach
Congo Blue

The first one is more RNLI than military but it is fantastic nonetheless. Royal Marines feature heavily in the second and fourth. All appear to be acclaimed for their authenticity by others who know a lot more about it than me.

“Close to the Wind” by Pete Goss. Although not specifically RM content, Goss is ex Royal Marine, made famous for the single handed round the world “ Vendee Globe” yacht race where he was in a commanding lead to win, but turned back to save a fellow competitor who was perishing.
Excellent read.
