The problem with medical queries is a a definitive answer cannot be given by the qualified medical expert until they are in possession of the full medical records relating to the condition.

For example - "I have a metal plate in my leg, is it a bar?" Depends on why it's there what's the reason for it, are there any complications, whether it needs to be there permanently, when it happened, is there a long-term likelihood of arthritis, is the area around the plate weakened and suchlike.

The medical guidance notes advise all conditions which maybe a bar & if not an outright bar, which conditions need further investigation, production of medical records and maybe referral to the Senior Medical Officer for clarification no-longer-validshowpost.php?p=335124&postcount=442[/url]
