Hey I was just wondering if anyone can help me around 3 years ago I had a chest infection my doctor gave me an inhaler for it but I am not asthmatic or diagnosed with it. I rang up for doctoras yestorday and he also agrees. My question is that after the 4 year rule of being clear is up will there be no issue after that will I be fine

kind regards

If it is for a chest infection as long as there was nothing else there is no 4 year rule.

I have replied to similar queries before, if you can look them up, for the fuller answer.

However, last year my son was TMU'd for a couple of reasons, one of which was the initial reply from the GP to the Capita Asthma questionaire suggested he had an inhaler within the 4 years for asthma.

We appealed this as it clearly stated on his medical records it was for a chest infection, which a letter from the Practice Manager confirmed.

The TMU was overturned.
