Anyone with an RT start date should seriously consider pointing their Partners or Parents towards this forum. From memory we already have a couple of P&Ps awaiting the start of the rollercoaster ride on Monday 21 October.

The Partner and Parent sub-forum provides much information and support which arguably takes some pressure off Recruits when, for example, loved ones flap about why he or she is not texting them every few hours.

Additionally, P&Ps get a basic briefing on digital Personal Security (PERSEC) which might help them to prevent well-meaning grandparents from proudly posting images of Recruit Troops on their social media. :)

Looking ahead and planning my annual leave for family weekend. If they start on 21st October would family day be 22 November?

Yes that’s the exact date I have worked out. I have had to plead for the day off work so prey my boy doesn’t end up in Hunter before then or they randomly change the date.

We have to organise the whole weekend away. We are in Scotland. Did your son get injured last time?

Blimey!!! We are only in Gloucestershire. No he put his chit in around 10 weeks in and regretted it ever since. Just the amount of recruits at some point or another seem to end up in Hunter

His experience will be helpful for others. My son spoke of someone doing PRMC who was going back in. Think I’m more nervous for him now as I watched Commando school last night

My son asking when he done his PRMC. 23-27 July for mine.
Yes it was him! Does he remember my sons name (don’t put it on here though). Is your son actually Scottish? Just asked mine and he said he couldn’t remember him. He was the only rejoin on that PRMC

Well I hope he finds mine on 21st. He will certainly help him if he can on this rollercoaster. Is your Son totally ready?
