It says in the recruit handbook you get that you need to take your P45 with you to Lympstone when you start RT.
Im leaving my current job at the end of July, and spoke to admin there about my recieving my P45 in time for my start date of septmeber the 15th for RT. They told me that chances are I wont recieve it that quickly.

So basically does it matter if I turn up without my P45 and that I get it sent down latter. Think this is one for Ninja or somebody in RT *text deleted*.

Cheers for the help, Fletch

doesnt matter mate, but means you'll be on emergency tax until your p45 is recieved and registered.

Your P45 can be forwarded to you.

As stated, it's to avoid going on emergency tax code, but an alternative is to take all your pay statements going back to 05 April 2008 so your proper tax code can be correctly applied.

It's not the end of the world if you're on a temporary tax code, you get back any overpayment eventually.
