Evening all,

Over the last 4 days I started getting mild pain in my right knee, which as gradually got more painful and began clicking (on the outside of the kneecap). My running/training hasn’t really changed other than gradually intensifying, however over the last 2 weeks I have started doing kneeling hip stretches and glute bridges to treat a pelvic tilt.

The pain isn’t bad, it’s just a bit of a nuisance, so hoping I can continue my running whilst treating.

Has anyone got any idea what it could be?

Cheers,
Soap.

Nobody on t'internet can credibly diagnose anything. But from personal experience many training niggles fix themselves and vanish given a few days or weeks of rest.
Rest might sound like heresy but it often fixes stuff.

A very old orthopaedic joke:

Patient: "Doctor, my knee hurts when I bend it!"
Doctor: "Stop bending your knee. Next please!"

Rest is the last thing I want but as you say, needs must!

:Dfunnily enough, it is when I bend it.

After some initial research it seems that it could be related to my it band, which I know there are a handful of threads on here about.

I’ll rest up and hope it clears.

Thanks @Chelonian. All the best.
