I attended the PRMC this week (12/03/19) and passed. I've found this forum very helpful in the past, so if anyone has any questions, I'll try answer them the best I can.

Well done. Have you been given a start date for RT?

Thanks! Not yet, I'll be phoning my AFCO tomorrow to get one as I was unable to contact them on Friday.

That's not good. My careers adviser gave me the office mobile number and said to call on the friday morning if I passed and I would get told that day when I was joining.

    Which afco are you at?

Sounds good. :) Keep the phys ticking over and get a grip on becoming a dhobi wallah so that you can hit the ground running with personal admin. Best of luck.

Cambridge mate. Yeah, I had the number, but didn't finish at Lympstone until midday, and by the time I could get a signal (my phone is awful aha), the office was shut.

What sort of scores did you get mate and what plan was you following on the run up to it? Anything you would have changed or done more off? Cheers mate, well done on passing

    Cheers mate!

I got 9:30 on the 3 miler (the pti picked up the pace on the 1st run, but I prepped for that, which I recommend!)
12.5 on the bleep, 60 push ups, 85 situps, and 6 chins (had a shocker)

I mainly used Arny's training plan, starting off at 50% and gradually increasing the it. I also did a lot of swimming with loads of hypoxic lengths, which helped a lot with running!

And if I were to do it again, I'd definitely train leg endurance a lot more, i.e lots of squats and lunges! On the determination test and endurance course, I found they fatigued the most and quickest, and I struggled a bit on the leg work.

Hope this helps mate, and sorry for the long reply aha!

Cheers for the reply, solid gym scores mate , bet you was well happy with them. Been using gainers for the last 4 weeks and seeing improvements just it's a slow process and hoping between now and may 14th there is enough time to get them up

Thanks mate, yeah was really happy with what I got!
Yeah mate, gainers are really good, just make sure you're always doing it with the beep! And I'm sure that's more than enough time to get them up! If not, just postpone it until you're ready!

Congrats on passing. Keep us updated.

Can you confirm if there was still a “presentation” on a military preparation college given at the end of PRMC?

If I may jump in here, our prmc had a lecture on the military prep college, I believe it was Friday morning. Unfortunately for the lecturer, not one single person was interested in the slightest.

Did all PRMC candidates attend the briefing? Or only those who had failed the course?

Was it for all candidates? Or just the ones that fail?

I can’t beleive they are still wasting time, money and effort on this crap.

    Absolute shambles.

Regardless of whether you passed, that is some ex officer still milking the MOD cash cow and getting reach arounds for all his mates still serving.

Shame it’s manipulating young people that don’t know any better and may feel coerced in to paying for a second rate education that’s not worth the paper it’s written on.

    Cheers, will do!

Yeah, on the last day we all had a talk from a guy from MPCT. He went over what they do, how they could help us,(even though we've passed) and where their colleges are based. We then filled in a sheet with our name and email, and he asked if anyone was interested, no-one was.
It came across as a big sales pith, but I didn't see the point in pitching it to those that have already passed.

I don't know if those that failed got the pitch, but I'd imagine they did.

Yea it’s a sale pitch. It’s an absolute disgrace aswell.
