Hi Guys,

I have been wondering about the personal admin does anyone know what it all involves? I understand cleaning your gun and polishing your boots but I think that has to be just the tip of the iceberg because of how many people get beasted over it?

Personal Admin is a massive thing in training, esspeically in the first few weeks of foundation. They try and hammer in all the skills needed to make you self sufficiant, from washing ,shaving with 60 other blokes in a matter of minutes,to cleaning weapons, servicing and deservicing all your kit before and after feild ex's.

Basically if you cant look after yourself back on base when you have running water etc, then you wont be able to do the same when your hanging on ex/ops and are wet and cold, not only will your kit start to not work properally but poor hygine can spread between a troop pretty quickly.

Spot on

for people going into RT I'd advise you to get your personal admin squared away very quickly as its a very important part of training, if you get it squared away soon then your life will be easier, also if you see a guy struggling then don't be a jack *text deleted**text deleted* and sit back, help them out as if they get caught out wich they will then the instructors will be wondering why nobody helped him and beast everyone for it.

Basically its sorting yourself out, be it ironing, cleaning, shaving, etc. Might sound easy on here, but when you've got hardly any time to do it, its not so easy, and being tired all the time doesn't help.

Field admin is hard on the first few exercises as its all new to you so you will more than likely be slow at it and *text deleted* up.

Just make sure everything is spotless clean for an inspection, that all your shirts and that are properly A4 folded, cs95's flat as a pancake with crisp creases in the right places, boots shiney, beret unfluffed, sleeves rolled up and ironed flat. It all becomes habit in the end.
