    Though are your hip flexors really being activated during sit ups?

    Do a sit up with your feet isolated and you will feel a massive part of the movement through your hip flexors. It’s not really about your abs but strengthening and stretching your body to maximise the range of movement to let you do min 85 reps. Just my opinion, as I say there will be far more qualified on here I’m sure

    I'm guessing you're recommending lying leg raises and flutter kicks then?
