I signed up 18 months ago but had a few medical issues to get through. I’ve Just been given a date for my pjft, when speaking at my AFCO he said that there is an aquaint day at Liverpool on the 9th April and said that I can do my pjft while I’m there. He said they’ve just got new pti’s there and would be done outside. Just wondering if anyone knows of this happening before or if it’s just started? Cheers.

I've heard of this before - as long as a pti is there, then It can count as your actual pjft. Might be worth doing, even if it is for the feedback given by the pti, which will undoubtedly help.
Depends if you like a treadmill or not really!

I’d say I prefer a treadmill. Only because I live in the Lake District so I can’t really get a good flat outdoor run like it is on the waterside in Liverpool.

Lake district is incredible mate! Went hiking there with my friend; Good place to get the hill sprints going ;)

Stick with a regular pjft then. Practice hard and let us all know how you do.

    All the best.

Did you manage to do you acquaint mate? Interested to know how they work, do you do the first 1.5miles led by PTI or are they both done on your best time judgement.

Hi mate. Yea I did my RMAD at Liverpool and did my pjft while I was there, the route was pretty plat the whole way across the coast and was lead by a PTI, he ran the first 1.5 miles with us in ranks of 3, waited at the half way point for a minuet (think it might have been longer though). We then set off back on his command at a best effort run individually. I stuck with about 4 others at the front and just tried to keep up with their pace until the last mile or so then we all broke up for the last part. The pti ran back but we ended up passing him. If your doing your pjft while your there then I assume it will be with a team from CTCRM as ours was. They knew the way the PRMC runs obviously so gave us some advice on that. They explained the pointing system and scored us all according to our times and quantity of press ups, sit ups, pull ups and bleep tests. My return time on my run was 8:45 giving me 4 points out of 5 if it was on the PRMC.

Lovely, thanks for that. Hopefully mine is similar then. Mines going to be on a 400m track and it’s conducted by an RM WO2

It should help you on the track keeping up to date with how much distance you’ve done or need to do throughout the run. Good luck

I don’t know, when I was there they said no jewellery but when we did the run back the pti forgot to take his phone to time it so luckily the person who finished first had his watch on and timed himself so they just wen off his time for everyone
