Although it's good to get a decent time and I think they used to ask on the prmc what PJFT you got. I don't think they do that now because they time the 3 mile run. So might be best this time to just guarantee the sub 10:00's and not try to set a personal best. 09:50 is just as good and when you look back this time next year or so, when you have your green lid, it won't really matter what time you got on your PJFT.
Roddie: Giving up the smokes will be a good move mate. I recall the smokers who joined up with me. They were always at the back when it came to the endurance stuff. Giving the weed up will allow you to increase your lung capacity and therefore get more oxygen into your muscles when needed.
