Passed the PJFT today, however felt nervous before as I'd never run it on a treadmill. I downloaded a day pass for the Nuffield Gym to familiarise myself with the controls. To be honest it feels like you're running faster than when on the road.

Just need to focus on my GCSE's now and hopefully get a PRMC when I finish school. I'm gagging to get down to Lympstone now though. Feel free to ask any questions on my joining process.

Good drills. Many competent road runners underestimate the treadmill PJFT.
Train specifically for each hurdle as it presents itself.

Why was I nervous or why hadn’t I ran on a treadmill.

You have to be 16 to join most gyms & I got my PJFT letter this week, so not much prep time, hence the nerves.

You should get a free gym pass to practice, or at least you used to.

@CHUB!, @The guide, has this changed recently?

Do you finish school at the end of the summer term?

If you haven't yet seen it this is Arny's Plan. He used it as the basis to prepare his own son (whom I recall was also at the younger end of the age range) for PRMC:

Yeah I finish in June. I’m going to have to pick up my training as I get closer. Thanks for the plan, I’m using this site for everything from diet & training to all the different words that the Marines use

CTCRM issued this set of knowledge sheets in January 2020. Don't worry overly about being 'tested' on it. Anyone with a serious interest in a career will absorb the information because it is genuinely useful:

@KingDom @Ninja_Stoker , You should be permitted to go to the gym you do your test in upto 3 times to allow for familiarisation with the treadmill, this is part of the contract with Nuffield gyms, commonwealth candidates are currently afforded swimming lessons if required as well.
