That's what they are saying, yes.
I'd planned on doing a POC around April after my dissertation is finished. Is this too late for September 2017 entry?
As long as your application is underway now, just speak to your ACLO to confirm you will get an April POC. With any luck he/she may pre-book a place for you. As mentioned in post #1, everything leading up to POC must be completed by 15th April. The issue will boil down to how many people will simultaneously be aiming for the last four POC dates.
@Ninja_Stoker , any indication as to when 2018 POCs will be released?
I'll ask the question but suspect it'll be after the selections have been made this year so that the Corps knows future projected manning figures and the appropriate number of courses are booked to meet the demand.
The rumour mill is there is a year on year reduction in the numbers required over the next two years.
As soon as I hear, I'll update.
Any update on how many they are looking for this year? Is it still at 40?
There's been no changes announced to that figure. Yet.
Interestingly, for the last three years we've been told there was a reduced requirement and yet, each year that figure has been increased at the 11th hour.
I'll update this week if we hear anything.
Great thanks. Also (possibly a naive question) but any idea on the level of competition this year compared to last so far?
It's usually "UK Eyes Only, NAAFI Cosmic" classified data, but I'll ask my oppo at AIB to see if there's any stuff available for public consumption.
Thanks for that
