Hi all,

Long story short I was due to attend a PRMC on the 24th April but due to a previous injury I had to undergo surgery (2 weeks ago) to remove a lump of bone on the distal phalangeal joint of my big toe. Furthermore more I had a ligament reattached on the big toe joint.

I have obviously had allot of dialogue with my careers office regarding this matter and have received great advice. However having just read the medical standards for entry document posted on here I was wondering:

1) The standards state that there must be at least 12 months after joint or bone surgery, does that include all of the application process including redoing the PJFT?

2) Does it just mean that you can't attend CTCRM (i.e., PRMC?)
Within that 12 months.

If 1 is the case then it would imply that I can move on with things allot quicker.

But for now I guess I will just enjoy putting my foot up. =/

Thanks for anyone who can give me some insight and best of luck to everyone.

Paddy.

Those undergoing surgery, must attend another medical examination after all outpatient treatment including physiotherapy is complete. The timescales will be advised by the medical examiner in the event the condition is not a bar to entry. Once passed fit, all time expired elements of selection must be repeated but the application effectively pauses until the medical examiner gives the green light.

Ninja would this also be the case for myself -
I have my PRMC on 5th June but I was told by an ENT specialist that my Tonsils should be removed due to persistent tonsillitus. My plan was to have done after my PRMC and then the 10 day recovery will be treated as a rest period?

Sorry to hijack

Thanks
