The nature of the national and international health emergency means that there is considerable uncertainty about many aspects of life. When information or statements are released by credible sources it is likely that this forum will re-broadcast them.

In the absence of any official notification train for that PRMC date perhaps telephone your CA on the Saturday. Best of luck.

I was due to go on the PRMC on 21st of April and received the below message in my navy portal

    "Dear Candidate

Please be advised that due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, the Naval Service has taken decision to delay your planned Potential Royal Marines Course (PRMC) in accordance with Her Majesty’s Government’s direction. Your application remains live and you will be advised as to when your course will be rescheduled. We will be in touch with more information as plans develop. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact your Careers Adviser. Please do not present in person at the AFCO as access will be controlled to members of the public.

    Yours Sincerely

    Naval Service Recruiting Team"

Got a call from AFCO this morning saying the same. I think best case scenario is it will be rescheduled to June, but who knows eh. Recruit intakes are still going ahead apparently, lucky for them haha. Good luck with all your preparation beforehand lads ;)

just an update. been emailing my CA today and he advised that the plan was to re-commence PRMC's in July 2020.

please take this with a pinch of salt though as I imagine the situation is constantly changing.

Don't take what I've said above as fact just incase. I would get in contact with your CA for the most reliable information if I was you.

It is a fact that PRMCs after Easter have been suspended. The date that they will resume is obviously dependent on the status of the current public health emergency.
Basically, it's all guesswork until an official announcement is made.

Obviously you're aware of the age limits but we live in strange times. Don't assume it's all over until you're formally advised that it is. Best of luck.

Similar sort of boat mate Im not far off. I hear you can ask for an age waiver in some instances and I reckon this should warrant one if anything i would have thought. Id contact your AFCO. I contacted Sean Lerwill via he's social media platform about gainers advise and gave me some his advice on the current situation and my age.

Us old dogs will get our shot!

Phoned AFCO today twice, no answer. Will phone again on Monday. I’ve met 3 Marines that went through recruit training at our age, so it is possible for us old dogs.
